Scriva subito dicendo dove si trova questa nota, dove saranno anche le scadenze dei miei premi di assicurazione – e se caso mai ella avesse presso di sé le chiavi del cassetto dove trovasi la nota venga immediatamente a Milano.
Spero che un simile incidente non abbia più a rinnovarsi e intanto caramente la saluto.

You left Milan without giving Signorina Maria proper instructions for the various payments to be made during your absence — and this was a grave oversight.
Consequently the payment of an installment for Dr Fenini came overdue — he had to pay it from his own pocket, and here in the studio we've been unable to find the note with the various due dates, which you must have, and we cannot reimburse Dr Fenini — what a poor impression for the studio to make!
Get back to me right away with the whereabouts of this note, where the due dates for my insurance premiums will be as well — and in the event you took with you the keys of the cabinet with the note inside, return immediately to Milan.
I hope an incident like this will not occur again, and meanwhile I extend my cordial greetings.
