        Quantunque la mia qualità di gerente mi dasse piena facoltà di prendere qualsiasi misura d’ordine amministrativo, ho creduto opportuno interpellare i miei consoci intorno alla lettera in data 17 Novembre 1887 a te rilasciata, e ciò perché la fiducia ch’io desideravo accertarti avesse maggiore conferma. Infatti avendo io proposto che le condizioni fatte nella lettera suddetta venissero senz’altro confermate in ogni loro parte, e quindi protrattone il valore sino alla fine dell’Attuale Società (30 Giugno 1900), la mia proposta non fu nemmeno discussa, ma venne immediatamente approvata all’unanimità.

   Even though my position as general manager gives me full authority to undertake any decision of an administrative nature, I found it appropriate to consult my fellow shareholders regarding the letter you were sent on 17 November 1887, so that I might obtain additional confirmation of the confidence we have in you. In fact, having proposed that the conditions in that letter be completely ratified and extended up to the end of the Current Company (30 June 1900), I am able to report that my proposal was not even discussed but rather immediately and unanimously approved.

   Pleased to relay this information to you, I offer a cordial handshake and remain as always
