molto, molto davvero mi spiace darti in questo mese, così frequenti disturbi - ma si tratta ancora di affare della massima importanza e della più grande urgenza. La mia pratica, la mia coscienza mi impongono di non lasciar cadere la proposta Sonzogno. Il consiglio di vigilanza, in seguito ad una divergenza di vedute aveva sospeso la continuazione delle trattative. Io sono riuscito a togliere le pretese dell’

Dearest friend,
I am truly, truly sorry to bother you so much this month – but this continues to be extremely urgent business of the utmost importance. Based on my personal experience and conscience, I firmly believe Sonzogno’s proposal should not be ignored. The Board of Oversight had suspended negotiations following a divergence of opinion, but I have been able to subvert Avv. Sonzogno’s demands regarding his right to future co-management, which was the principal and most difficult obstruction: consequently our Corporate Bylaws remain intact. The remainder is only a matter of financial due diligence and calls for immediate discussion, since it is urgent that a decision be reached. In order to save time, I have invited Avv. Sonzogno to participate in the meeting set for the day after tomorrow – understood that it is not an official meeting and that no minutes will be taken if it is not deemed appropriate to do so.
