La presente per avvertirla che oggi stesso ho versato, per conto della Signora
In pari tempo le accompagno uno chèque su questa Banca Popolare per l’importo di £ 1000 – interessi al 5% dal 15 gennaio us a tutto ieri sulla somma di £ 40.000 – con preghiera di farmi tenere la relativa ricevuta.

With this I wish to inform you that today I have deposited the sum of £ 25,000- to the account of Signora Anna Erba Brivio at the Banca Zaccaria Pisa, thereby extinguishing the debt that the heirs of my dearly departed father had with Sig.ra Erba — for which I kindly ask you to provide me with the relative receipt.
At the same time I enclose a check from this Banca Popolare for the amount of £1000- as 5% interest earned from 15 January last until yesterday on the sum of £ 40,000- and request that you provide me with the relative receipt.
