Verificando oggi, in Magazzino, le spedizioni delle Cartoline-Novità, ebbi l’inaspettata sorpresa di constatare che trovansi tutt’ora inevase le novità, dalle cartoline #°26 a 32 - e nientemeno la Cartolina #°26, porta la data del 25 Novembre scorso!! - Questo modo di adempiere le ordinazioni della Ditta, produce in me un tale senso di indignazione, che mi astengo dal qualificare il modo stesso.
Certo, oltre al danno gravissimo portato alla diffusione in tempo opportuno delle nostre nuove edizioni, c’è nel fatto stesso un tale senso di spregio verso la ditta stessa, e verso chi la rappresenta, da porre questi nella necessità di provvedimenti radicali, togliendo a codesta Direzione quella specie di autonomia la quale conduce a questi risultati inqualificabili.
Intanto, nella mia qualità di unico Gerente responsabile, dispongo ed ordino perché nel più breve tempo possibile si dia passo alle novità in sofferenza, e dispongo ed ordino perché si sospenda qualsiasi accettazione di lavori per c/. terzi, fintanto che la Direzione delle Officine non mi provi, con dati ineccepibili, di poter eseguire esattamente e prontamente le ordinazioni della Casa. Ed in ogni modo, non si accetteranno commissioni da terzi, se non ci sarà il benestare del sottoscritto.

To the Office of the Director of the Workshops
As I was verifying today, in the warehouse, the shipments of the Postcards announcing our New Publications, I had the unexpected surprise [sic] of ascertaining that the postcards were still not sent, from Postcard nos. 26 through 32: and note that Postcard no. 26 is dated this past 25 November!! This manner of ignoring the orders of the Company gave me such a sense of indignation that I abstain from expressing what I really think.
Certainly, above and beyond the serious damage done to the dissemination, at the proper time, of news about our new publications, there lies in the inaction itself such a sense of contempt toward this company and toward the person who manages it, as to force that person to take radical measures, that is, removing from this Office of the Director that level of autonomy which led to these deplorable results.
Meantime, in my capacity as the sole General Manager, with full responsibility, I dispose and order that the shipments of these new-publication postcards, which have been kept in abeyance, be done as soon as possible, and I dispose and order the suspension of any new jobs for third parties, until the Office of the Director of the Workshops can prove to me, in no uncertain terms, that it can reliably and punctually execute the orders from the Company. And in any case, no commissions from third parties are to be accepted unless they have received the approval of the undersigned.
