Nella lusinga che un incoraggiamento materiale valga a farla vieppiù interessare alla nostra azienda, per modo ch’Ella possa in breve acquistare nell’Amministrazione quel posto che noi desideriamo, le diamo avviso che a datare dall’entrante Luglio il di Lei stipendio mensile sarà di Lire 200.
Con ciò non intendiamo provarle che noi siamo interamente soddisfatti della di Lei opera, in quanto riteniamo ch’Ella possai [sic] rendersi assai più utile.

With this we do not mean to imply that we are entirely satisfied with your work, given that we believe you can render yourself significantly more useful with greater effort.
