Caro Momolo,
Perdona il ritardo a risponderti dovuto ad assenze mie prolungate e al lavoro (amara ironia delle cose!!) che la guerra mi ha recato, portandomi via molti impiegati e creando nuovi problemi difficili da risolvere, specialmente per quanto reflette le mie succursali all’estero.
Dunque sono a tua disposizione se ancora in tempo – manda la poesia e il disegno che farò riprodurre e stampare gratis in quel numero di copie che mi indicherai.

Dear Momolo
Please excuse me for this belated response, due to my extended absences and to the work (what bitter irony!!) that the war has generated, taking away many of my office employees and creating new and difficult problems to resolve, especially with regard to my foreign branch affiliates.
So I am here to be of service if I am still in time — send me the poetry and the illustration, which I will prepare and print gratis in as many copies as you indicate.
