In response to your letter of the 9th of this month, I am most sorry to say that I cannot be of service to you.
In fact, I do not possess any portraits of Giuseppe Verdi’s early librettists – and I am certain you already have that of Arrigo Boito in your collection.
It is impossible for me to send a page of music: it is true that the Company owns the Maestro’s autograph scores, but no folio can be detached from any of them for that purpose!
