Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of May 11th, which followed me from New York, I beg to state that I have played the Sortilegi by Pick-Mangiagalli three times, at Chicago on February 23rd, at Philadelphia on Febr March 2nd, and at New York on March 22nd, and as far as I know, the question of fee for performing it is to be settled between your New York house and the concert givers, viz. the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, the Philadelphia Orchestra Association and the New York Philharmonic Society. I have not the programmes [sic] with me at the moment, but after my return to London I shall have a look through my papers, and if I have any duplicate programme [sic] of the concerts in question, I shall be pleased to send them to you. I shall also return the parts of Sortilegi to you then, if you wish it, but I would prefer to keep them until the end of the year, in case I have an opportunity of playing the work with one of the London Orchestras.
