Dear Maestro Malipiero
Mr Frugoni has sent me a copy of your recent letter agreeing that you will compose a Concerto for piano & orchestra, to be performed by the Louisville Philarmonic [sic] Society of Louisville, Ky, U.S.A. during the 1948/49 season. You are to receive 400 Dollars for this composition and for the performance rights whenever you deliver the finished score & orchestrations for full symphony orchestra at my office, 119 West 57th Street, New York City, N.Y.
The Concerto & scores therefore must be completed not later than October 1st, 1948. With the exception of the Louisville performance you will retain all rights to this concerto.
I am writing this letter in duplicate. Please accept the conditions contained therein, by signing the second copy, & returning it to me via Air Mail.
Sincerely yours
Albert Morini
