[****] Clausetti,

I am sorry I just missed seeing you. I made a special trip & missed you by minutes. Next time you come we really must meet. I enclose some cuttings about the Italy - England football match last week. Although the English scored 2 goals to 0, all were agreed that the Italians were a much better team in every way. All the papers said so. Well you can read the enclosed & judge for yourself. I know how interested you were in the Italo - England match in 1934, when Italy could have won. The Italian captain (Carapellese) messed the shooting this time; all think that Italy could have scored 3 or 4 goals the first half. Italy must send over a first class goal-shooter, straight & fast, & cool headed. This captain lost his head at the critical moment right in front of the goal & so lost Italy the match. Hope this finds you & yours well. Tanti cari saluti da noi tutti anche alla Signora.

H.Caesari
