I received your telegram from yesterday and confirm mine sent today as follows: "Send immediately complete detailed surgical and X-ray list for customs exemption. Do not ship anything. Manolo will come to Paris for everything. Check cashed. Salutations."
I spoke this morning with the Count of Somaglia, President of the Italian Red Cross, regarding the exemption from customs charges, and he told me that, once he has received a complete and detailed list of everything that we need to import to Italy, he will then make the necessary arrangements at the Ministry of Finance — Tittoni can do nothing.
I am putting together the list of the French-Italian Visiting Lady's Committee. When I have completed it I must send it to the Count of Somaglia in Rome to obtain special permission for the French Ladies — but that should not be at all difficult.
I've seen Dutasta; he is doing quite well and hopes to leave in the next few days for Florence, then to return to Paris toward the end of the month.
Please send me the complete list of the French cities that have subscribed so far — I will find their official seals at the French Institute and have them reproduced for each hall.
Have you had a response from Herriot?
I got Pogliani on the telephone before he left for Rome and told him that I have some interesting proposals to make on your behalf — he will return on the 9th or the 10th — I'll meet with him and explain what we have agreed to do, and he has promised me that he will leave immediately for Paris and will come to see you.
In haste, with my most cordial greetings
Yours warmly
Tito Ricordi
P.S. — When you have received the customs exemption from the Count of Somaglia, my brother Manolo will come to Paris to retrieve the surgical tools and the X-ray machine.

Monsieur Camille Cerf
PARIGI
Nessuna nuova, buona nuova?
